I like the one on one attention with the child that allows me to focus on her needs and build a strong relationship. I like working for a family that understands I'm a student and works around my schedule. I like times of my work schedule, which are not too early or late. Additionally, I like the flexibility and freedom I have to make decisions on activities with the child. I enjoy being around her carefree, innocent and energetic personality. I'm overall very happy with the experience I'm getting and all the knowledge I'm learning about child care and development.
What I wish was different
I wish I could work a few more hours in the week, to cover more bills and expenses. I also wish that I worked around more people, as I'm a very social and outgoing person that likes more interaction.
Advice
Requires good time management skills, energy and enthusiasm, interest in child development and working with children, patience, a good role model and positive influence and creative ideas for activities and projects.
