Printpack

Packaging Engineering Intern

June - December 2018 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

Extensive opportunities in both customer interaction and long-term development. I loved the hands on experiences as well as being able to attend many trials. The chance to manage customer accounts independently as the lead product development contact while working cross-functionally with CDAs and Sales helped educate me in the industry extensively.

What I wish was different

More travel opportunities to other PPK and customer plants

Advice

Be open-minded and do not be afraid to reach out for help. Fellow associates are very kind and helpful.

Accounting Intern

August - December 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

With this internship, you feel like you're a true employee instead of just being the intern. You get to take on multiple responsibilities that will help prepare you for full time. The company really wants you to succeed in not only your internship but after it and gives you plenty of internal networking opportunities and ability to learn more from the resources available to you.

What I wish was different

Letting myself realize that I have plenty of time to learn and adjust to the position and that making mistakes is part of the learning experience.

Advice

Make sure to ask questions and take notes! The team here is very supportive of the internship role and made me feel a part of the team instead of just an intern.

Application Development Intern

May - August 2018 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

Great company, great experience. I learned a lot about web development and general coding practices in the real world. They gave me real experience and pushed my comfort zone to make me a better IT professional. When I finished my time at Printpack, I have a real project that I can discuss, which isn't something you always find at other Internships.

What I wish was different

I wish it was longer, and that I had been better prepared for it by my schoolwork.

Advice

This company is great. I loved it, and it is worth the experience just to work with the people of Printpack in my opinion.

Human Resources INtern

June - July 2017 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

The internship is very broad and lets you take part in all areas of Human Resources. Alot of oppurtunites to network and also get real-life experience.

What I wish was different

The culture is very conservative. Which is not a comfortable place for someone like myself. Almost no people of color in the higher roles.
