Software Development Engineer Intern

What I liked

I enjoyed being on the same team for the duration of the internship and working collaboratively on problems that were relevant to the company. I also liked working with the other interns and hearing about their college and work experiences up to that point.

What I wish was different

The experience was online, which meant that I wasn't able to meet my coworkers and develop more meaningful relationships with them. However, this was essentially unavoidable because of Covid, so I was grateful just to have the opportunity.

Advice

Don't be afraid to reach out to more experienced developers and ask for help! They'll be more familiar with the environment than you are because they've been there for longer, and in my experience they're usually happy to do it.
