“Sure interns are not exactly CEO’s but my time at PANYNJ has given me the skills to one day chase that ambition. I have a plethora of aspects that I particularly enjoyed starting with time management. This is my first job esque position where I took what I’ve learned at Hofstra and applied it in a way to help a team achieve a goal and this required a hefty load of time management skills to be efficient at both my personal and intern lives. It’s quite the adjustment and I’m grateful I was given the opportunity to learn now rather than stumble with it in a salary job in the future. I have also forged many worthwhile relationships with my supervisors during project planning and while observing their work these coworkers of mine are mindful of my inexperience and instead of feeling pressured and under appreciated there was a sense of comradery and they treated me like I was family regardless of my intern status which it made it worthwhile to give them my best effort and full attentiveness every day. I know now what type of environment I would be searching for in a future job search as these connections go beyond just being constituents. ”
