Since Porchlight Counseling Services is a relatively small non-profit, I really enjoyed the level of trust and responsibility my supervisor gave me. I ran meetings with school administrators by myself, tabled different college events, and created educational material that was used at college workshops. The people are also so welcoming and friendly.

Be proactive and flexible! Especially in the non-profit world, it's so important that you be ready to try different things and come up with your own ideas and initiatives.
