I loved being able to do some good for other people in my community. It gave me that much more of an appreciation for the life I have been blessed with.
What I wish was different
I only wish I would've volunteered sooner. It felt so rewarding to give back and to make someone else' day by simply being around.
Advice
If you are hesitant to taking on a volunteer activity/experience, don't be. The pay off is well worth it and you don't have to choose a 9-hr shift to make someone else' life a little better.
