What I wish was different
The work was a bit slow at first but I sat with my boss to explain what I would prefer to be doing, and they completely accommodated my desires. My role has changed a lot to fit the work I am interested in diong.

Don't be afraid to reach out to people in the company to expand your network/find mentors.
