Everyone at firm is very accessible, even long/short analysts and quant dev professionals. You are assigned a firm mentor in addition to your direct manager.

What I wish was different

The people are not very diverse, and I was reprimanded for advocating for my scheduling needs. Hedge fund culture is not very flexible.

Advice

Network with analysts and PMs if you want to lateral out to the investing side and join Academy full-time.

What I liked

Incredible learning experience - formal training program to mold the next generation of investors. Learned corporate finance, financial modeling, data analytics, and macroeconomic analysis for the purpose of forming Long/Short Equity investments. Real work on real teams.
