Immersion into the life of a district attorney, working with victims and witnesses along side the advocates, being treated as an equal and being asked my opinion on cases and how they should proceed on them. Great people with good advice for a criminal justice student.
What I wish was different
Was only there two days a week, it is hard to see a case pan out when you miss half of the proceedings.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions during recess, the attorneys love to help and will have the answer you're looking for.

What I liked
I enjoyed the work environment. The environment was very relaxed, but also informative.
What I wish was different
I wish that the DA's office had more definite work for interns to do.
Advice
An undergraduate internship with the DA's office involves sitting in court for the morning, so be prepared to be in a courtroom setting.

June - August 2018 • Plymouth, MA
What I liked
I liked being able to observe the courtroom process closely with prosecutors.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been given more tasks to do rather than observing court, which is something people can do on their own.
Advice
I recommend asking your supervisors if there is any way to get more involved rather than just observing.
