“A major part of my internship included storytelling through the Health Center Advocacy Program, which aims to empower individuals to become advocates for their healthcare through sharing their experiences with Planned Parenthood. Especially in this current political climate, I found this aspect of the internship to be extremely valuable-- reading the stories we collected were heartwarming and empowering. The very nature of Planned Parenthood’s HCAP program is to have the voices of our patients be the core of our work, and that resonated with me. It is the epitome of high-quality health-care and I will take that ideology with me into my future healthcare career. ”
