Marketing Intern
June - August 2019 • Harrison, NY
What I liked
I liked the research components of the position.
What I wish was different
I wish I had not been working alone in the bull pen all summer, away from the rest of my department. There was not enough room for me to sit at a desk near everyone else, so it was a very lonely job.

Audit Intern
June - August 2019 • Harrison, NY
What I liked
Being able to get hands-on audit experience, and ongoing support from professionals at the firm.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time with the firm, maybe another month or so, to get more acquainted with the work and the people.
Advice
It was great to be able to see the firm I plan on working for inside and out before I eventually move into a full time position, so any internship is a very helpful experience.

Tax Accountant Intern
February - April 2019 • Stamford, CT
What I liked
I loved all of the hands on experience. I really appreciated the meaningful tasks given to me; very rarely did I complete non-accounting related tasks. I learned much more than I ever could have in a classroom.
What I wish was different
I was not a big fan of the tax software the company used, and wish I had more training prior to beginning.
Advice
Never stop asking questions. You will think you are being annoying; ask them anyway!

Audit Intern
June - August 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
Everyone was very friendly and encouraged me to ask questions. I was given a lot of meaningful work and felt that I had an impact. I was able to go to many different client sites, so every week looked different. There were many firm sponsored events that encouraged us to network and learn about the company culture. In addition to doing audit work Monday-Thursday, on Fridays the interns worked on an industry research project that was presented to firm leadership at the end.
What I wish was different
On days that I was in the office, I had to go around and ask associates and managers for things to work on. After I would finish my assignments, there would be times where I had nothing to work on. This didn't happen often, but when it did the days would feel excruciatingly long without having tasks.
Advice
Be open to asking questions and challenge yourself to learn new things!

Audit Intern
June - August 2018 • Harrison, NY
What I liked
I had the opportunity to work closely with many Accounting and Financial Advisory professionals. I was given on the job training and went out on numerous engagements to clients to assist in several part of the audit process.
What I wish was different
I wish I had the opportunity to work with several different departments to see what auditing was like for different clients. I mainly worked in the government department and worked on schools, towns, and villages.
Advice
Be open to learning and always ask for more. Showing your superiors that you care about the work you're doing and are eager to take on more work will give you a better chance of getting an offer to return.
