I liked the mentorship I got from the team I worked on. Everyone was open and willing to help me about the work I was doing, and also give me guidance on my future career path. I was treated like an important and valued part of the team, which made it easy and exciting to go to work everyday. I also like that they work I was doing was actually useful and made an important impact on the company.
What I wish was different
I wish that I had been able to learn more about different business functions other than just finance. I worked on a team with people who worked in different functions such as IT, marketing, business development, etc. and I wish I had the opportunity to learn about those as well.
Advice
One piece of advice I would give is to be willing to do any work that you are given and understand that, even if it seems small or unimportant, you are helping in a big way. I often found myself given small tasks that seemed irrelevant, but would later see the big impact they had on the work others were doing.

Do an internship! There are part-time corporate opportunities and part-time & full-time public accounting internship opportunities as well. Find what fits your schedule the best because you may find you love and/or hate what you've chosen!

What I liked
I really enjoyed the work I had to accomplish as well as the people I worked with. While it was rather simple in nature, I found that it was satisfying and time consuming; both qualities of a good job.
What I wish was different
My only gripe with my job at Pizza Hut were the customers. While some were the kindest people on the planet, the rest were the exact opposite.
Advice
I would work on ones ability to deal with situations that make you uncomfortable. Due to the nature of the job and the customers I had to deal with, I found myself dealing with unpleasant situations all the time. This skill can be transmitted to any other job found on planet Earth and should be honed in by anyone who takes customer satisfaction seriously.

I had no problem with the workplace, but customers can be stressful at times.
Advice
As with just about any place in the food service industry, it's very fast-paced and there can be a lot to juggle depending on your role. You're best suited if you can work quickly and accurately with equal importance.
