I loved the culture of Pioneer. The people were great. They also let interns publish their own blogs, which really beefed up my resume.
What I wish was different
I wouldn't change anything.
Advice
I would strongly encourage other students to pursue internships at Pioneer because the company lets interns have a very hands-on educational experience.

What I liked
I loved the work environment. Everyone there was focused on making the state a better place, and holding government officials (regardless of party) accountable for their actions. I was given work that actually made a difference and was republished in multiple news agencies. I was also sent to represent y organization at a government event, and eventually offered a job for the fall (which I'm currently doing).
What I wish was different
I wish I had known more about Wellesley's housing options. I was told by an alumni that someone would've helped me find off-campus living, which could've saved me money and later on problems. It really was a perfect summer other than that though, so I can't ask for much more. I couldn't ask for anything more from the job-- it was a dream come true.
Advice
Do your best in everything you do, and don't be afraid to work more than you're asked to. My employer enjoyed that I had undisclosed skills in graphic design, computer science, and statistics, and they wouldn't have known if I hadn't made the effort to do the work on the side. As a result, they wanted to keep me on after the internship ended.
Wellesley women have unique, highly marketable skills. Don't be afraid to apply them.
