What I liked

Loved hearing what customers love about the products and helping them achieve their dream home look. Building relationships with my customers is my favorite part.

What I wish was different

There was a different manager at the start of my experience and it got kind of stressful going to work, but we have a new manager now and it's a lot better.

Advice

It may be scary at first and overwhelming with all the different products, but everyone learns as they go. No one starts out an expert on furniture and place settings, but it's fun learning the different items and how they can be used in different ways.

The customers are always so friendly, and my fellow employees are exciting to work alongside.

What I wish was different

I wish the store had less merchandise so it didn't seem so cluttered. It's difficult to maintain the store floor and stock room with so much stuff to organize.

Advice

My advice is to understand everything you can about the floor layout and merchandise. The best or worst moments of shifts are when customers ask you for the location of specific items. If you know right away it looks very professional, but if you don't and waste the customer's time disaster can strike!

Greater training and less expectation of accomplishing tasks alone, the time consuming nature of some tasks made completing them alone very difficult.

The job is really for people who like to interact with people they don't know at all
