Each summer, more than 20,000 Scouts travel from all corners of the US and abroad to participate in the rich backcountry and training opportunities available at Philmont Scout Ranch. 35 staffed backcountry camps scattered throughout the 140,171-acre facility provide assorted outdoor adventure programs. Since 1939, Philmont programs have attracted more than 1 million participants.
Philmont hires more than 1,300 summer staff and 80+ year-round staff in departments focused in outdoor adventure skills/education, conservation, medical services, food service, retail, museums, ranching/farming, equestrian/livestock programs, media, and many other support roles.
Position requirements vary from little to no work experience, to having degrees/certifications, and significant prior work experience.
