Philadelphia Soul

Game Day Operations Internship

May - August 2019 • Philadelphia, PA

What I liked

I liked that the Soul organizations allowed for open communication between the intern's and the manager's. If there was ever an issue, it was no problem to bring it to the attention of the manager's. Another part of this internship that I enjoyed was that ever employee was willing to help if you had a problem and they made it clear to always approach them if you needed it.

What I wish was different

All around, my experience with the Soul was great and I do not have any problems with how it went. I was able to learn about the industry and gain valuable experience that has led me to other great opportunities.

Advice

The most important piece of advice that I can give to people who are starting an internship is to not be afraid to ask for help. I know starting off it is intimidating and you may feel as if full-time employees will not want to help, but that is not the case. Everyone started off somewhere as an intern, so they know exactly how you are feeling. Also if you are reaching out for help, that will show them you care about the job and are willing to learn to improve yourself.
