What I liked

I was able to work in a niche industry that resulted in several job offers after I ended my internship. I now have a skill set that is some what rare within the advertising industry that I hope to apply in future internships. Search works a lot with search engines and other large e-commerce sites so I was able to work with representatives from Google, Amazon, Bing among others. I also attended conferences and events at Google, Facebook, and Twitter.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have been a part time intern because I did find that some days were busier than others. If not part time I wish I could have experience others aspects of advertising to see if I liked them more than search.


Be sure to research the industry you are working for beforehand because there are plenty of concepts and terms that are industry-specific and may take a while to adapt.
