I liked working with clients and having access to professional-level gear and software.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more direct contact with studio ownership and management. I wish that there had been more of a push to educate me on site as opposed to having a sort of laissez-faire model.
Advice
Be prepared to think on your feet when it comes to different situations involving clients.

What I liked
I loved the ability to use time for ourselves and make sure that we know what's going on around the studio. Going in and messing around with Pro Tools or just listening to music gives the interns hands on time to get more comfortable with the set up.
What I wish was different
I think that there is a lot to learn from this internship site, but I wish there was a little more variety when dealing with clientele. I was able to specialize in hip hop and r&b, but I would have appreciated recording some other instruments besides voice every once and a while.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask as many questions as possible. The engineers love to talk and make sure that you understand what is happening.
