Even if you feel like you don't belong to a bigger firm setup, try it. I worked for an architecture firm here in Denver for a year, but the firm had 8 people, which I found to be perfect. PPA in NEC was 45 people and felt goo, but now I know for sure that I prefer smaller sized firms.
