What I liked

I enjoyed being able to work on a personal level with kids. By working as a part of their family unit, I was able to get some valuable first-hand experience as to what it is like to be a "guardian". This is especially important for me since I plan on having a career in the school system and need to relate to parents without actually being a parent.

What I wish was different

Nothing really...maybe just having more regular hours. Also, it is a job that you have to be located in a specific place and live close by.

Advice

I would recommend that every college have a job, even if they do not necessarily need the money. Advice-wise, always give your 100% because the children can pick up on it if you do not. Honestly, if you are a nanny, it is best to keep the kid's best interest in mind anyways.
