I got to build a relationship with students and advice them about college life.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have trained the boys team harder to move on to CIF as a team.

Advice

Coaching requires building a relationship with the students and having them trust you to be their coach. Showing you care for them as people not just an athlete really helps the students feel comfortable and safe.
