I was able to learn how to conduct cold calls, evaluate resumes, and observe interviews. I also enjoyed having the opportunity to shadow the branch manager as she pitched the staffing company to potential new clients.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more opportunities to shadow the branch manager on her daily responsibilities.
Advice
I would say that this position provided a lot of insight into a lot of the main functions of human resources and would suggest that anyone interested in that field intern at this staffing company.

Human Resources Intern
June - August 2019 • York, PA
What I liked
I really liked the people I worked with. The work was not terribly taxing, but as an intern, my job was not as intensive as an actual employee. It was informative in seeing how a type of HR environment is run.
What I wish was different
There could have been more to do, but because of the type of work, there were limited things that could be done.
Advice
If you’re looking for a typical HR experience, this might not be the best fit, but the people you work with are great regardless.

Human Resources Intern
May - August 2019 • York, PA
What I liked
The work environment, my coworkers, and everything that I learned about administration and the staffing industry.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have done more hands-on work with candidates and clients as my time with PeopleShare went on. However, the things that I did get to do allowed me to learn and grow significantly because it was my first ever experience in the business/human resources field.
Advice
To go into it with an open mind and do anything that you have the opportunity to do in order to learn as much as possible. Make good relationships with corporate and the internship will go smoothly.
