What I liked
With the cohort model, each trainee received multitudes of emotional and logistical support from both the two intern/trainee supervisors, as well as the other interns in the cohort. There were many opportunities to build a sense of community, and everyone was very understanding and empathetic, which ultimately created a welcoming and supportive work environment.
What I wish was different
I wish there was more classroom training and practice with specific interventions to gain technical and professional skills.
Advice
The long shifts can get tiring and may not be the most exciting every day, so make sure to take care of yourself and bring something to keep you stimulated in case it's a slow day!
