The people were incredible and the work was meaningful and challenging. Learning how to adapt to working online was an indispensable part of this internship and taught me so many new skills that have already proved to be extremely useful. Working with a nonprofit was not only eye opening, but deeply satisfying.
What I wish was different
The only thing that would've made this internship better is if I would've been able to actually go into Philly and work in person with everyone. This internship was the best it could've been under the circumstances, and I feel extremely lucky that I was able to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.
Advice
If you are thinking about doing an internship- go for it. You never know what might come out of it. Be proactive and steadfast in creating opportunities for yourself, because there are plenty of them out there waiting for you.
