Peak Capital Partners

Acquisitions Analyst Intern

May 2018 • Provo, UT

What I liked

The amount of deals that an Intern with Peak gets to look at is completely worth the unpaid effort and time. The acquisitions team is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. The nature of the internship opens the experience up to the intern to get out of it what they want to. This is an incredible experience if you work hard and are professional in your work.

What I wish was different

It would be great if it were paid, but the experience is worth it.

Advice

If you are interested in real estate, there isnt a better internship in Utah valley for someone to develop imfortant skills and understanding than the internship at Peak.

Acquisitions Analyst Intern

May - August 2019 • Provo, UT

What I liked

Acquisitions is fast pace, so you're looking at multiple deals every day. Great opportunity to really get a grip on the underwriting and valuation process for properties. It's a great opportunity to learn if you come from little experience and can give you the skills you need to be prepared for other opportunities. Analyst team is friendly and will mentor you.

What I wish was different

Being unpaid is the only negative thing, but trust me, it's worth it for the experience.

Advice

Ask a lot of questions. Try to understand why things are valued the way they are and work on building your intuition.
