The environment was very welcoming and easy to learn in. My editor was a great resource if I had any questions. The employees were all knowledgeable, and I really loved the material we covered. I knew that my pitches were taken seriously even as an intern.
What I wish was different
I was only able to stay for a few weeks and finished my internship remotely. I do wish I had been able to stay all summer; I think I would have gleaned even more useful experience.
Advice
Don't be afraid to put yourself out there when pitching. The editorial staff are open-minded and are more than willing to listen to you.
