I loved that the location was close - within walking distance - to campus. It was satisfying to complete projects, work with the community, and other students. Invasive species removal and working with high school students earning community service hours made up the bulk of the work done.
What I wish was different
I was a little frustrated with the organization of the work schedule in that it required at least two interns for a scheduled event to occur.
Advice
Be prepared with work clothes - old pants, tops, jackets. Hiking or work type boots are suggested. Gloves are also suggested.
