I was exposed to a great civil engineering firm. I got to see how the process of job proposals, permitting, designing, drafting, and construction works. I was Ignorant to the entirety of the process, so now I feel as though I have a great understanding of how engineering firms function.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more training so I could have more hands on experience.
Advice
Even if the company isn’t at the SET fair or even if they do not have an application on their website, get an email and ask for a job opportunity.
