The training and onboarding experience with learning about the company has been great. I have the opportunity to work with my manager to serve as a mentor and being able to collaborate with other members of the team to work on the project together.
What I wish was different
It can be difficult to connect with other interns since it is a remote position however I was able to build relationships via working on the project(s) together.
Advice
This internship expects interns to problem-solve independently but ask the right questions and get caught up with what the team is currently working on.

What I liked
The internship was flexible in regards to the working schedule and project offerings. There were different projects to fit my individual skillset.
What I wish was different
Because of the remote nature of the internship, there was a lack of clarity on the requirements of a few projects, so I wish there was a little more detail on project commitments and deadlines.
Advice
This internship encourages interns to problem solve independently, so keep the provided guide materials handy, and reference them during your start week to get caught up.

I don't really wish anything was different. An in person opportunity for this internship could be beneficial.
Advice
Effective communication is going to be important throughout the internship/job. Flexibility of knowledge will also help tasks flow quickly.

What I liked
This was a very holistic internship, that exceeded my expectations in terms of learning experience. My manager served as a mentor to the interns, and not only helped them achieve their designated work tasks, but helped us understand how financial institutions are run on the whole- really expanding the scope of my understanding of the industry.
What I wish was different
Because it is a remote internship, it can be difficult to meet all of the other interns, however I still made genuine relationships with numerous interns during my internship at Parker
Advice
My advice to other students would be to familiarize yours.elf with some basic finance terminology so you can hit the ground running.

What I wish was different
I wish there would've been more managers who oversee the interns but my communication with my manager has been great.
Advice
I would advise to look over all of the resource materials as soon as possible for any project being worked on and to try to figure things out before asking others for help, because many questions can be answered by looking in the chats or documents.
