What I liked

Being able to learn how to communicate with co-workers in order to set up goals and accomplish projects was something I had not been able to do before, so working in this type of environment was just enough to get me out of my comfort zone. Everyone was also extremely friendly and willing to have me on board just as though I was a regular employee, which was assuring.

What I wish was different

If I would change anything, it would be the lack of communication that would happen at times or a lack of clarity on what was expected from projects I was creating.

Advice

Your skills will always be applicable to workplaces that you would not think would be so. I never thought I would have the opportunity to create design materials for this type of work environment, but it ended up being the perfect first "real world" work experience. Keep an open mind on where you could end up.
