About Oswego AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps is the national service program that provides Americans of all ages and backgrounds with a living allowance and education award in exchange for a term of service. More than 75,000 Americans each year are engaged in intensive service through AmeriCorps to meet critical needs in communities throughout the nation.

AmeriCorps members serve through non profit groups, public agencies and faith based organizations to meet critical needs in education, the environment, disaster relief and other human needs. Over 1 million individuals have served as AmeriCorps members since the program began in 1994.
