What I liked

Learned a ton about how development works in a realistic setting. Everyone is super helpful and there is a great culture as we all feel we are contributing to capturing one fo the fastest developing markets.

What I wish was different

There was a big learning curve at first as my lack of experience made it difficult to understand what different technologies were and what they were doing. I wish that there had been a bigger focus in my course work to learn about architecture and technologies that are in use.

Advice

Ideally work on personal projects, find something you want to do and try and make it. However I know that it's hard enough to balance school work and other commitments without adding another project, so I would say at the very least try to read. Read articles about technology used in your domain, even if you don't have an opportunity to try and implement it yourself, having some background knowledge can give you a huge leg up.
