What I liked

I loved how close our (the interns') relationships and communication were with the staff, and also how hands-on the experience was. As interns, we were trusted with more responsibility than one would normally get an other internships. We were personally invested in, and encouraged to take times to rest from ministry, and debriefed as a team after every event.

What I liked

I loved the community that I was working in, as well as the fellow interns!

What I wish was different

It would've been amazing to be a part of the programs One Hope Tulsa usually has in the summer, like GetAhead and Project61 but because of COVID we were unable to do these things.

Advice

Be ready for deep conversations about faith and work and community, while being challenged creatively and in your faith.

What I liked

The community of the workplace was like family and was so encouraging and supportive of me. Their passion to serve and love the marginalized and oppressed people groups in Tulsa is amazing and contagious.
