There was a shortage of employees so there was a few aspects I didn't get to learn because they didn't have any time for me to learn them.
Advice
Get the most out of the city you are in. Every chance you get, explore San Antonio!

Don’t do it. It sounds good at first, but the company steals money from your paycheck. You’d never know if you didn’t know what to look for.

I like the interaction with other international people and the work environment.
What I wish was different
I wish the kitchens were more prepared talking about for future events and well AC in the kitchens.
Advice
If you are fine working for big hotels, it is the place for you since I ended up working around 13 hours per day.

Advice
If you like to work a lots of hours, it is the right place for you. I used to be working between 10 to 13 hours per day.

What I liked
The fact that it was a paid internship and I had housing provided as well. I had lots of hands-on experience as well as meetings that prepared me for future projects and industry information from heads of departments.
What I wish was different
not much honestly I really enjoyed the experience I wish I would’ve had opportunities to put more hours in but besides that I really enjoy the experience.
Advice
omni hotels and resorts is a great company they care for their employees and they really gonna look out for you and make sure you have the experience that you want.

The hours and manual labor were hard on my body
Advice
They are need of those in the Banquet Houseman position, but be prepared to do some heavy lifting and working beyond your capacity
