What I liked
Being an intern at Olivia Management doesn’t mean that you’re just a student who comes into the office a couple of times a week and goes on grocery runs (though I am the proclaimed snack queen this semester). You’re a valuable part of the team and Erin, Grace, and Sidney make sure that you know just how important you are on a daily basis. The way OM emphasizes, leans on, and appreciates their interns is a beautiful, rare thing and I’m so glad that, in a town of millions of opportunities, I was given this one.
Not only have I learned many valuable professional skills while interning here - from merch fulfillment to successful marketing and outreach - I’ve learned how to be a better leader through watching the way Erin leads our small but mighty team. I’ve learned how important it is to step back and be proud of the work that you’ve done, and how much easier it is to do work when you love the people you’re doing it with.
