Teaching a subject that's in my field allowed me to learn more about my own passions and share that passion with others.
What I wish was different
I wish I had designed more hands-on lessons for my students earlier on. I eventually adjusted the class to become more interactive and engaging after the first few classes, but I should have tested my early lessons beforehand.
Advice
When you're teaching, make the lessons that will get your students as enthusiastic and intrigued as you are in the material. Encourage a dialogue and let creative approaches to the coursework come with proper guidance and cultivation.
