I enjoyed the variety of work I was able to complete during my internship. While I was an intern, the school district launched a new website and published a quarterly newsletter. I was able to help with both of these projects and completed other miscellaneous tasks along the way. The staff was accommodating to my skill level and constantly asked me what I would like to work on in order to give me valuable experience for my future.
What I wish was different
I enjoyed all of the work I was able to complete during my internship. The only thing that I wish had been different was that we weren't in the middle of a pandemic. The nature of COVID-19 added and extra layer of stress and uncertainty to our projects.
Advice
The workplace requires a high standard of professionalism. Olentangy Schools is one of the largest school districts in Ohio, and much is expected of the staff. The district has thousands of parents and students that are relying on the job that is done in this workplace, so it is a job, or in my case an internship, that needs to be taken seriously.

I wish we would have started later than 6 AM but I understand why we start that early.

Be ready to work long hard hours and earn your money!
