The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities certifies Medicaid Providers to provide services to Individuals with developmental disabilities. Providers are paid with federal Medicaid waiver funds. The Audit Office reviews claims paid to ensure Medicaid Providers are compliant with Ohio Administrative Code requirements and the Providers' service and support documentation validates Medicaid reimbursement. This is accomplished by performing waiver reviews (audits) utilizing a risk-based approach.
