About Ohio Civil Rights Commission

The Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) receives and investigates charges of discrimination in employment, housing, places of public accommodation, credit, and higher education on the basis of race, color, sex, age, ancestry, religion, national origin, disability, military status, and families with children. We also provide education and training about Ohio's laws against discrimination and reach out to the community to collaborate on civil rights issues. Every year, OCRC hosts the Ohio Civil Rights Hall of Fame and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Art, Writing, and Multimedia Contest.
