The mission of the Office of State Representative Tami L. Gouveia is to lead and represent Massachusetts residents with dignity, honesty, and honor. Our aim is to engage residents of the 14th Middlesex District in the policy-making process of the Commonwealth and enable public access to information on legislative decision-making; to bring diverse perspectives together to address the complexity of the problems that families face in their everyday lives; to support the continuous development of a sustainable, thriving Commonwealth; to appreciate and understand our history and shared investment in our future, and; to advance social justice, economic opportunity, and equity for all.
Representative Gouveia was elected to serve the towns of Concord, Carlisle, Acton and Chelmsford in November of 2019. The Representative serves on the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities; Joint Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use, and Recovery; Joint Committee on Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure; and the Joint Committee on Export. She has introduced almost 20 pieces of legislation on opioids, climate change, child welfare, public health revenue, and more. She supports a broad range of initiatives and policy measures related to criminal justice reform, public transit, affordable housing and investing in communities, families, and workers.
