Although the internship was unpaid, I received so much in terms of experience. I am now well-versed in New York State and City politics. I know how to function well in front of and when working with constituents and when dealing with Community-Based Organizations and other office partnerships. My advice is to work hard because you will be noticed if you do. Study, read, and strive to get the most out of the experience, especially if you're only working there for the summer.

What I liked
It’s a great experience. I liked the fact that I get the chance to communicate with businesses owners, and managers. Shared ideas on how Assemblyman Brian Barnwell can assist them on any concerns they might have with with the city, states, or landlords of they businesses.
