OFFICE OF CONGRESSMAN DAVID SCHWEIKERT - Spring 2023 DC INTERNSHIP
The Washington, D.C. Office of Congressman Schweikert is currently looking for student interns for the upcoming Summer 2022 term. Ideal candidates will be motivated, detail-oriented, display a strong work ethic, and display an interest in the legislative process. Ties to the state of Arizona are preferred but not required.
Intern duties include:
Assisting with research and writing of constituent correspondence
Researching legislative issues for staff
Helping Communications/Press team with media planning
Logging constituent calls
Conducting Capitol tours for constituents
Attending policy briefings and congressional hearings
Compiling daily news clips
and other projects as assigned by staff
Students should aim to apply as soon as possible, as applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Start dates are flexible, but ideally, interns will start in early May.
