What I wish was different
I applied for the Business Development Associate Intern position at O&A Healthcare Solutions.
After submitting my resume, they sent me an application form and requested my working availability. Given they had already reviewed my resume, I assumed the next step would be scheduling an interview. I returned the form within 24 hours (within their requested 48-hour window). Their demand for timeliness from applicants, however, was not reciprocated.
For two weeks, I was left in the dark. Thanks to Mixmax, I could see them opening every one of my emails, yet they chose to ignore them. At the very least, I expected an acknowledgment of the receipt of my application form. If they found other candidates during the process before scheduling interviews, that's understandable. But to remain silent is simply rude.
When they finally responded after my last attempt, it was with a seemingly ChatGPT-generated rejection, sent within three minutes of reading my email. The lack of transparency, poor communication, and blatant disregard for candidates is deeply disappointing. If this is indicative of their pre-interview process, I shudder to think of the actual work environment.
