Mechanical Engineering Intern

May - August 2019 • Andover, MA

What I liked

Great work experience, I worked in a project group on a big project the whole summer. The group was great with answering questions and providing feedback on my designs/work.

What I wish was different

Possibly more hands on experience/going to job sites. I spent most days on my computer on Revit/Autocad.

Advice

If you haven’t learned it already, familiarize yourself with revit and autocad, it will save you a lot of time in the beginning of the internship.

Electrical Intern

June - September 2018 • Irvine, CA

What I liked

Work-life balance was as ideal as I could have hoped for. The job was always informative and the conversations I had impacted my future career plans. (Perfect internship experience, good for power electrical engineers with HVAC interests)

What I wish was different

More variety of work.

Advice

Your first internship should have a balance of working, learning, and interacting. I spent more time than I really expected to working and less time interacting, so remember that work isn’t everything (especially as an intern)!
