This internship is not for the faint at heart. You have to be tenacious, self driven, and able to put yourself out there. I have a whole new outlook on life and I was blessed with the opportunity this summer and fall to work with some great people!

What I liked
This internship experience at Northwestern Mutual was the best experience I could have asked for. Everyone in the Actuarial Department was warm and welcoming, and the work I did is still being used in the company! I felt that my work was meaningful and greatly contributed to the company. Both the corporate internship program and the actuarial internship program helped me grow my network, get amazing experience, and made my summer one to remember! Thank you Northwestern Mutual for an amazing opportunity!

Nothing - the entire experience was absolutely incredible, everything was well-coordinated, and the people were the kindest on Earth!

Make the most of every opportunity that you have - network with the CEO, other Executive Officers and everyone in your department, meet the other interns, and be proud of all the work you do!

I failed a ton while in this role and it is ok. Learn to fail and fail fast. You learn so much more when you push yourself and fail.
