What I liked
The best part of this internship experience is learning about the inner workings of our states general assembly. I was able to learn how to quickly and efficiently decipher bills and prepare a summary of the most important aspects of various bills and gain a general idea about how public opinion affects the support or rejection of bills.
What I wish was different
I do wish I got to spend some time on the House side, but the sheer number of representatives intimidated me a bit.
Advice
There are plenty of people looking to aid you in professional development and career opportunities so do not be afraid to network and ask for help.
