Marketing Intern

What I liked

My internship was very independent. My ideas were listened to, and I was able to add my own creative touch to the videos I created. There was some videos that I made from NOPEC's blogs and others I researched on my own. I liked going to events the most (Great Lakes Science Center and a Lake County Captains Baseball game). Everyone who works there is very friendly and easy to talk to. Overall, a great internship experience.

What I wish was different

I liked the work I did and then events I went to, but I wish there was more field work. I filmed part of a baseball game and an event at the Great Lakes Science Center. I also photographed a different event at The Lake County Captains, but it would have been nice to do more field work.

Advice

Be prepared for a lot of independent work and time-management. Sometimes there would be multiple projects I was working on at once and I had to prioritize. The employees there will help you if you need it, so don't be afraid to ask!

Marketing and communications intern

What I liked

This internship allowed me to create original content and learn so much about communications and marketing. It allowed me to network with some very influential people in Ohio, and gave me the experience needed to fulfill my new full time role as a marketing coordinator. I would recommend this internship to a dedicated pr student who is ready to learn and take opportunities offered.

What I wish was different

I wouldn’t have changed anything

Advice

Be professional, and don’t waste an opportunity to learn, because the team at Nopec will guide you through any ideas and projects. The sky is the limit with them!
