I loved the work environment. Everyone on my team was so welcoming and supportive.

What I wish was different

I wish I got to work with a little bit of a bigger team. I did like the small team aspect, but I would loved to have experienced also working with a larger team.

Advice

Remain open-minded and flexible. Be open to any projects and say yes to any opportunity!

What I liked

This was my first experience in a professional environment and I got to learn work etiquette in a remote environment. Everyone was flexible enough to do virtual training, and all of the meetings were through video calls with portfolio managers and clients. I was able to apply the skills I learned in my classes to a real environment and enjoyed my experience very much.

What I wish was different

Due to COVID-19, everyone was ordered to work remotely and I was never able to go into the office. I wish I had experience of working with my colleagues in the same building, but I still met with them virtually through Zoom.

Advice

Keep your mind as open as possible and be proactive whenever you feel like there is not enough work being assigned. Reach out to your manager and ask to sit in with client meetings to learn how to behave and interact with them. Work hard and someone will notice your effort.
