What I liked
I enjoyed the office atmosphere and the other interns that I worked with. I also enjoyed the work that I was doing, if felt like I was making a difference for the consumers I was helping. There are also opportunities to be promoted within the office and it was nice to be recognized for my talents and leadership abilities.
What I wish was different
It would have been nice to do more shadowing with other departments, but I know that they are working developing the program more so there is more opportunity for that to happen.
Advice
Learn as much as you can while you are here. Make sure that you are working hard and distinguishing yourself. There are a lot of opportunities for growth and promotions to be had. Also stay longer than the minimum 6 months, I was here for more than a year and it was great experience and gave me room to reach my maximum potential.

What I liked
There's incredible support from supervisors and attorneys in the office, not to mention opportunities to network and to start and command your own projects. It's a really great work environment with coworkers that are super friendly!
What I wish was different
I wanted more chances to network at first, but with all the work the office is undergoing, more opportunities are on the horizon!!

This opportunity is what you make it-be willing to speak up, work hard, and have fun!

What I liked
I really enjoyed the friendly and helpful atmosphere of the mediators and supervisors. They're always open to help me learn and gain new experiences on the job. For future legal or law enforcement careers, this experience helped me interact with an area of law I knew little about.

The mediation work was super fun and rewarding. The office atmosphere was very relaxed and very easy to feel comfortable in. We get a lot of work done, but we have fun doing it. Overall, a very rewarding and enjoyable experience.

Going into it with an open mind, it is easy to get frustrated when the mediation doesn't end up as you would have wished.

Learn as much as you can while at a job. It is important to go above and beyond- do not just do what they ask of you. You get what you give out of anything you do which is why it is important to ensure that you are making every moment count.
