It was good to experience the operations of the government. Learning the different ways that meetings and prepping for tests go.

More engineering instead of office automation based.

I enjoyed going underway managing the chemistry in the nuclear propulsion plants.

I wish I could’ve been able to go out to sea more often.
Advice
You will only get as far as you are willing to put in the work. This is not an easy job and you need to spend a lot of extra time studying and reviewing the manuals but you will learn a lot.
